The following are preventative measures one should consider when using our DogGiedee Diaper, or any other type of diaper. If your dog is going to use the diaper all day long you should treat you animal like a baby and replace the pad frequently, no less than 2 to 3 times a day. You should also wipe your animal's genitalia at least once a day with a damp cloth or baby wipe. |

For small dogs, adding a bit of baby power
to the pad before securing the diaper to the waist will help minimize skin
dampness.
Once you place a diaper on your dog you will need to give them the same consideration and treatment you would a small baby. If you follow these simple steps you will avoid causing you dog to smell or develop a skin rash. |

We also recommend you keep your dog's coat clipped short around the area of the diaper. This will make it very easy to keep them clean and reduce skin dampness (dog's with white coats may experience some coat discoloration (yellow tinge) around the area of the diaper if they are not clipped). If your animal does develop a skin rash you will need to stop using the diaper for several days and place baby power around the affected area.
